The Rocks brand identity speaks about the characters - the 'many hands' - who bring the precinct to life both historically and today. In keeping with this, four characters were created to reflect each of the four elements of The Rocks Village Bizarre, a series of evening markets, music, performances, and interactive artworks curated in, and around, The Rocks on Friday evenings in November and December.
Together with Associate Director Verbal Identity Lex Courts and Creative Director Ben Miles, the creative team collaborated with artisans including paper artist Benja Harney and photographer Pierre Toussaint to create and photograph sculptures in the form of each character. These Avant Cards speak to each of the characters, as well as the event elements they bring to life.
