Verbal Identity and Copywriting thanks to Studio Front Desk!

As founding editor of Friend the magazine I collaborated with the creative director on the overall concept for the title. We created the verbal and visual identities simultaneously. The concept for the magazine was to create a friendly and engaging title, the antithesis of what the fashion industry is often portrayed to be.

The verbal identity of Friend at it's beginning was both serious, often formal, and frequently very tongue-in-cheek. Below are highlights from the media kit created to launch the publication.
